Resveratrol and inflammation. Resveratrol inhibits STAT activation and enhances SOCS1 expression by attenuating the production of miR-155. Resveratrol inhibits the production of proinflammatory cytokines and inhibits the activation of the p38 MAPK and STAT1/STAT3 signaling pathways by upregulating SOCS1 expression. The anti-inflammatory response of resveratrol was related to the binding of ERα.
