Treatment with NKDB herbs ameliorated learning and memory deficits of AD rats induced by A 1-42. (a) In place navigation test after treatment, mean escape latency (MEL) of MG were still significantly longer than that of SOG. While MEL of NKG, DBG, NKDBG, and DHG got significantly shorter compared with SOG. There was no statistical difference between NKDBG and DHG. (b) In spatial probe after treatment, frequency (F) of passing through the platform of MG were significantly decreased than that of SOG. While F of NKG, DBG, NKDBG, and DHG were significantly increased compared with MG. There was no statistical difference between NKDBG and DHG. (c) Trails that transferred gradually from edge and random type to tendency and straight line type displayed search strategies were optimized. Bar graphs were represented with the mean ± standard deviation (n = 10). < 0.01 versus SOG, < 0.01 and < 0.05 versus MG.
