Total polyphenol, total flavonoid content, and antioxidant activity of ALE. Total polyphenol content was expressed as gallic acid equivalents (GAE) and total flavonoid content was expressed as rutin equivalents (RE). Antioxidant activities were expressed as DPPH-scavenging activity (DPPH·SC₅₀) and ABTS-scavenging activity (ABTS·SC₅₀). DM refers to dried materials and SC₅₀ indicates the concentration of ALE required to reduce 50% DPPH and ABTS radicals. The results were expressed as the mean ± standard deviation (n=3).
