BT ameliorates alveoli structure of mouse lungs. C57BL/6 mice ( per group) received a single i.t. PBS (a) or 2 mg/kg of i.t. LPS ((b), (c), and (d)). Two hours later, mice received 1 mg/kg (c) or 10 mg/kg body weight of i.t. BT (d). Mouse lungs were harvested at 24 h after LPS treatment and stained with HE for histological examination (magnification, ×100, and bar = 100 μm). Representatives of at least five different areas of a lung are shown.
