(b) An Oil Red O assay was performed in order to measure the effect of Bupleuri Radix and Scutellariae Radix on lipid accumulation in 3T3-L1 cells. (c) A Real-Time RT-PCR assay was performed in order to measure the effect of Bupleuri Radix and Scutellariae Radix on mRNA expressions of AdipoQ, aP2, and Lipin1. Gapdh mRNA was analyzed as an internal control. Experiments were repeated at least three times. Data represented are the relative expression.
