Antifungal Effects of Saponin Extract from Rhizomes of<i> Dioscorea panthaica</i> Prain et Burk against<i> Candida albicans</i>

<div>The antifungal activity of HSE on planktonic<i> C. albicans</i> cells. (a) MIC of HSE against<i> C. albicans</i> was determined by microdilution method.<i> C. albicans</i> cells were incubated with various concentrations of HSE for 24 h before MTT assay was performed. (b) MFC of HSE against<i> C. albicans</i> was obtained by counting the colonies grown on SD agars after serial dilution of each well and incubation at 37°C for 48 h.
