Effect of the aqueous extract of C. europaea (AECe) on intestinal absorption in rats. A 10 cm of rat jejunum was perfused with a solution of perfusion containing glucose (1g/L) and the aqueous extract of C. europaea at 250 mg/kg. After 60 min, the glucose absorbed was estimated. Values are mean ± SEM (n = 6) and are analyzed with one-way ANOVA followed by Dunnett’s t-test. <0.05 versus control, <0.01 versus control, and <0.001 versus control.
