Effects of XS-5 and XS-6 on apoptosis of HCC cells. (a) Hep3B and Huh-7 cells were treated with XS-5 and XS-6 (100 μg/ml) for 24 h, and the TUNEL assay was performed and photographed at 400X magnification. (b) The expressions of cleaved caspase-3, PARP, XIAP, and Mcl-1 were determined by western blot analysis in cells treated with XS-5 and XS-6 (100 μg/ml) for 48 h.
