Cytotoxic and Apoptotic Activity of Majoranolide from Mezilaurus crassiramea on HL-60 Leukemia Cells

Effect of majoranolide on the cell cycle of HL-60 cells. After exposure to the compound (concentrations and times indicated), the cells were permeabilized, stained with 7-ADD, and counted on a BD Accuri C6 Plus cytometer. FlowJo software was employed for data analysis. Cell percentages at the G1, S, and G2/M phases were determined from histograms depicting DNA content versus number of untreated cells (UC) and treated cells after 24 h (a) and 48 h (b) treatments.
