Adenine-induced autophagic inhibition on colon cancer cells via AMPK activation. (a) After pretreatment with dorsomorphin (5 μM), colon cancer cells HT29 and Caco-2 were treated with adenine (10 mM) for 24 h . Levels of p-AMPK and p-mTOR were measured by western blotting. (b) Viabilities of cells receiving different treatments were evaluated using the MTT assay.
