Effects of 200, 300, and 400 μg/mL RVSE for 24 h on the Bax:Bcl-2 ratio, and the cleaved caspase-3 and -9 and PARP levels in MCF-7 cells. Western blotting was performed for the determination of the relative protein levels of (a) Bax:Bcl-2 ratio, (b) cleaved caspase-9, (c) cleaved caspase-3, and (d) PARP and cleaved PARP. β-Actin was used as the loading control. A representative of three blots yielding similar results is shown. Relative levels (protein vs.β-actin) were evaluated by densitometry. Data are means ± SD of three independent experiments. P < 0.05, significant difference from the control.
