Methanolic Extract of Artemia salina Eggs and Various Fractions in Different Solvents Contain Potent Compounds That Decrease Cell Viability of Colon and Skin Cancer Cell Lines and Show Antibacterial Activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa

Effect of Artemia salina egg extracts on B16-F10 cell viability. Cells were treated in triplicate cross a range of extract concentrations (0, 5, 10, 20, 40, 80, 100, and 250 µg/ml) for 24 h. 5-FU was used as standard. Control cells served as an indicator of 100% cell viability. Hexane and chloroform fractions exhibited the greatest activity.
