Electroacupuncture Improves IBS Visceral Hypersensitivity by Inhibiting the Activation of Astrocytes in the Medial Thalamus and Anterior Cingulate Cortex

Experimental design flow chart. An IBS visceral hypersensitivity model was induced by neonatal colorectal irritation. The AWR score was used to evaluate the analgesic effect of electroacupuncture and FCA on visceral pain. Molecular biological methods were used to detect the expression of GFAP in the MT and ACC. The effect of electroacupuncture on astrocyte activation in the MT and ACC of rats with IBS visceral hypersensitivity was explored.
