Effect of SW1353 cell viability by rhodomyrtone. (a) Cell viability was analyzed by MTT assay for 24 h. Rhodomyrtone inhibited SW1353 cell growth in a time- and concentration-dependent manner. (b) Nuclear morphology changes were detected by Hoeschst 33342 staining. Rhodomyrtone at 0–3 μg/mL (cell viability >80%) was selected for subsequent experiments. The arrows indicate apoptotic cells. Data were expressed as mean ± standard deviation (SD) from three independent experiments.
