Antioxidant Activity of Sprouts Extracts Is Correlated with Their Anti-Obesity and Anti-Inflammatory Effects in High-Fat Diet-Fed Mice

Effects of the CS and OB extracts on body weight of HFD-fed mice. C57BL/6 mice (five-week-old, male) were fed with low-fat diet (LFD) or high-fat diet (HFD) for 14 weeks. Mice were orally administered with lycopene beadlets (LY), CS, and OB extracts in saline at 50 mg/kg body weight (CS-L or OB-L) or 100 mg/kg body weight (CS–H or OB-H). Data are presented as the mean ± SD (n = 7–8/gr). 1) Means sharing the same alphabet are not significantly different at as determined by ANOVA and Duncan’s multiple range test.
