Hydroxysafflor Yellow A (HSYA) Protects Endplate Chondrocytes Against IL-1<i>β</i>-Induced Injury Through Promoting Autophagy

<div>HSYA induces the autophagy of endplate chondrocytes via mediation of LC-3 and ATG7. Endplate chondrocytes were treated with IL-1<i>β</i>, IL-1<i>β</i> + 10 <i>μ</i>M HSYA, IL-1<i>β</i> + 25 <i>μ</i>M HSYA, or IL-1<i>β</i> + 25 <i>μ</i>M HSYA + 3-MA. (a and b) The level of LC-3 in endplate chondrocytes was measured by immunofluorescence staining. (c) MDC staining was used to detect the autophagy of endplate chondrocytes.
