Pharmacological Activities of Natural Products in Respiratory Disorders
Description
The prevalence of respiratory disorders, such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), bronchitis, and lung cancer is increasing worldwide. Although in recent years modern medicine has developed significantly for the treatment of respiratory disorders, the usage of complementary medicine is increasing.
Herbal medicines are popular in many countries, and the use of these drugs in outpatient treatments have been of great interest and showed therapeutic effects on various respiratory disorders. In addition, a significant number of anti-tussive drugs were obtained from natural products and plants in ancient times.
The aim of this Special Issue is to present the impact of complementary medicine on the care and management of respiratory disorders and introduce the effectiveness of natural products for the treatment of these disorders. We invite researchers to submit both original research and review articles on the usage of natural products for respiratory disorders.
