Axillary block (limb oedema): left brachial plexus perineural anesthesia (white bars) produced considerable fore limb oedema in the anesthetized rats. The prophylactic effect of the agents given immediately after lidocaine, saline 5 ml/kg, BPC 157 10 μg/kg, L-NAME 5 mg/kg, and L-arginine 100 mg/kg intraperitoneally, alone and/or together.
