Temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) is the most common form of focal epilepsy that may secondarily generalize. About one-third of patients with TLE may become resistant to medical therapy and require surgical treatment. Epilepsy surgery has been shown to be effective in the treatment of medically intractable TLE. The key to treatment of medically intractable TLE is early identification of patients with medically intractable TLE.

We invite authors to submit original research articles as well as review articles that seek to define and characterize TLE and its treatment.
