GC-MS selected ion mass chromatograms ( 134) for extractable organic matter from solid bitumen from western gas fields (wells YB101, HB101, and LG82) and eastern gas fields (wells TD10, YA1, TS5, PG11, and MB4). Abundant aryl isoprenoids are found to occur in wells in the west not in the east.
