Permeability changes quantified using the permeability reduction factor (ratio of current permeability to initial permeability) in systems with variable primary porosity and (a–c) high host rock permeability and a shallow intrusion emplacement depth, (d–f) intermediate host rock permeability and a shallow intrusion emplacement depth, and (g–i) intermediate host rock permeability and a deep intrusion emplacement depth. The snapshots compare different system configurations at the same time during the main stage. Initial porosity is set to (a, d, g) 0.1 (b, e, h) 0.05 or (c, f, i) 0.025.
