Generalized geological map of the pre-Cenozoic basement of the Szeged area, belonging to the Codru nappe system (Tisza mega-unit), and its surroundings [23, 26, 27]. Isoline numbers are in meters. The close vicinity of the town Szeged (study area) has a nearly basement-high position. Reservoir rock characterization was carried out on core samples from the well H–1-penetrated Miocene to Pliocene deposits above the basement.
