Vertical distribution trends of modal cement phases, porosities, and permeability in the well E-5H1. Intense dolomite, halite, and anhydrite cementation of the pack-/grainstone and thrombolites facies in the uppermost sequence 5 leads to a nearly complete loss of porosity, although both facies had initially high porosities and permeability. Calcite cementation occurs only locally but leads to a reduction of permeability and porosity, especially in thrombolite and mudstone facies.
