Formation Mechanism of Mud Volcanoes/Mud Diapirs Based on Physical Simulation

Experiment 2-1 records the formation simulation of mud diapir under the tension background. (a) In the early stage of tension, there are a few fractures on the surface of the model. (b) In the late stage of tension, there are a lot of symmetrical fractures on the surface of the model. (c) In the crosscutting diagram of the outer edge of the model, it can be seen that there are mounds in the middle of the model and a lot of symmetrical fractures on the side. (d) In the crosscutting diagram of the center of the model, the fluid flows up and punctures the stratum, and the stratum is pulled upward.
