Adult Fisher (FS), Long Evans (LE), and Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were pair-fed with isocaloric control or ethanol-containing liquid diets for 8 weeks, and were weighed weekly (See Section 2). Net mean body weight (grams) and mean percentage body weight gained over the 8 week period were calculated.
