Clinical manifestations upon LPS challenge. Naïve mice, P. acnes-primed mice, and P. acnes-primed mice depleted of macrophages (Mø) were challenged with LPS, and hypothermia, hypercoagulation, lethality and liver injuries were monitored by measurement of rectal temperature^a, measurement of plasma TAT/PAI-1 levels^b and histological analyses^d.
