Gastric Carcinoma in Young Patients and Its Clinicopathological Characteristics and Prognosis

Figure 1

Survival curves among all the patients in four subgroups. The Kaplan–Meier Gastric Cancer survival curve based on significant prognostic predictors for overall survival in the study group patients. Survival curves among all the patients of four subgroups, which are age ≤35 years (Curve 1), age 35-40 years (Curve 2), age 41-60 years (Curve 3), and age 61-75 years (Curve 4). There was a significant difference in survival between Curve 3 and Curve 4 (). There was no significant difference in survival between other curves. The 5-year overall survival rates with respect to the young, middle, and old age group were 46%, 48%, and 39%, respectively, but when we tally the subgroups of the young age with each other, the result shows a marked variation in the overall 5-year survival rate with respect to that of subgroup A and subgroup B with 33% and 49% survival outcomes.
