HIV Screening During Pregnancy in a U.S. HIV Epicenter

Third trimester/second HIV screening test and rapid HIV test at delivery in eligible patients. Repeat HIV screening was identified in patients who initiated prenatal care in 1st or 2nd trimester, and delivered during the third trimester (≥28 weeks) (). In those without repeat HIV screening during prenatal care, we identified whether rapid HIV testing at delivery was performed.

Includes one rapid test HIV positive on labor and delivery; confirmatory testing negative.
