HIV Screening During Pregnancy in a U.S. HIV Epicenter

Third trimester/second HIV screening test and rapid HIV test at delivery in eligible patients. Repeat HIV screening was identified in patients who initiated prenatal care in 1^st or 2^nd trimester, and delivered during the third trimester (≥28 weeks) (). In those without repeat HIV screening during prenatal care, we identified whether rapid HIV testing at delivery was performed.

Rapid HIV test ordered, not done:	1 (0. 6%)
Rapid HIV test not performed at delivery:	18 (10.1%)

Includes one rapid test HIV positive on labor and delivery; confirmatory testing negative.
