Photoperiod effects on time of flowering of C. benghalensis plants. Long-day plants (LD) were exposed to a 9 h light period and a 3 h night interruption with nonphotosynthetic light to suppress flowering. Short-day plants (SD) were exposed only to the 9 h light period.
