PCB 102-induced cell proliferation is mediated by ERα. MCF-7/BOS cells were treated with 1 nM E2 or 5 μM PCB 102 with and without the ERα-specific inhibitor MPP (1 μM) or the ERβ-specific inhibitor PHTPP (1 μM) for 72 hours. Cell numbers were determined by hemocytometer and expressed as a percentage of the DMSO control (set at 100%). Values are expressed as mean ± SE ().
