In Vitro Growth Inhibition, Caspase-Dependent Apoptosis, and S and G2/M Phase Arrest in Breast Cancer Cells Induced by Fluorine-Incorporated Gold I Compound, Ph3PAu[SC(OMe)=NC6H4F-3]

Figure 7

Percentage of cells at G0G1, S, and G2M phase. MDA-MB-231 (a, c) and MCF-7 (b, d) cells were treated with the indicated doses of compound 3F1 for 24 h. Cells in the negative control samples were treated with 0.1% DMSO. The cells were then fixed with ice-cold 70% ethanol and stained with propidium iodide (PI) from the MUSE cell cycle kit for MUSE flow cytometry analyses. S and G2/M phase cell population was consistently high while G0G1 cell population was consistently low in the treated breast cancer cells compared to those of nontreated cells. Data are presented as the of three independent experiments.
