Modulation of proliferation in Bim−/− cells. Wild-type and Bim−/− retinal endothelial cells (panel (a)) and pericytes (panel (b)) were incubated with 10 nM staurosporine for 24 hours. Apoptosis was determined using a Caspase-Glo 3/7 assay. Wild-type and Bim−/− retinal endothelial cells (panel (c)) and pericytes (panel (d)) were monitored for their growth rate over a two-week time frame for wild-type (○) and Bim−/− (□) cells. These experiments were repeated twice with similar results (***).
