GC chromatograms of the extracts in methanol of the composts C1 (a) and C4 (b). Some of the classes of the functional groups are reported here as a function of the retention time (minutes): up to 20′ we have low-molecular-weight ketones, aldehydes, and polyalcohols and at 20′–40′ fatty acid and fatty acid esters. It can be seen that the region at low retention times in chromatogram (b) is more crowded than in (a).
