Expression of pro-inflammatory cytokine genes in human gingival fibroblasts. Gene expression for IL-1α, IL-1β, TNF-α, IL-6, and GAPDH genes in hGF cultures with and without LPS stimulation. LPS concentrations were 0 μg/mL, 0.1 μg/mL or 1 μg/mL. RNA was isolated at 24, 48, and 96 hours. RT-PCR was carried out at 30 cycles for GAPDH, 35 cycles for IL-1α, IL-1β, and TNF-α, and 25 cycles for IL-6.
