Contemporary Issues in Head and Neck Pathology and Radiology
Description
The diagnosis and management of patients with non-tooth-related conditions of the head and neck area is an essential component of the practice of dental medicine. Comprehensive evaluation and assessment is critical to the successful outcome of the patient presenting with one of these conditions. In the head and neck area, this normally requires close cooperation between the primary care provider and experts in the fields of oral and maxillofacial pathology, radiology, oral medicine, and head and neck anatomy.
We invite authors to submit original research and review articles that expand current knowledge and interest in head and neck pathology, particularly as related to diagnosis and management. The submission of interesting case reports that illustrate the importance of collaboration between experts in the fields of oral and maxillofacial pathology, radiology, oral medicine, and head and neck anatomy to arrive at a definitive diagnosis is also encouraged. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Diagnosis of non-tooth-related conditions of the head and neck area
- Imaging in the assessment of head and neck pathology
- Potential pitfalls in the diagnosis of head and neck pathological lesions
- Emerging diagnostic modalities
- New developments in oral and maxillofacial pathology
Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/ijd/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/ according to the following timetable:
