Values of hypothalamic levels of dihydroxybenzoic acid (DHBA) and nitric oxide metabolites ( ) for the (NTDR + V) group (white bar), (HSDR + V) group (dashed bar), and (HSDR + H) group (crossed bar). The values were obtained at 0 or 60 min after the initiation of heat exposure in heatstroke rats or the equivalent times in the (NTDR + V) group. in comparison with the (white bar) group; in comparison with the (dashed bar) group. Bars were the mean ± SD of eight rats for each group. See the legends of Figure 1 for explanation of the abbreviations.
