Intrapancreatic PSCs increase islet fibrosis in vivo. Masson’s trichrome staining was performed to show the islet fibrosis. The degree of islet fibrosis in GK rats was higher than that in normal Wistar rats, and the extent of islet fibrosis in GK rats was significantly increased after intrapancreatic transplantation of PSCs.
