Multiple Components of the VHL Tumor Suppressor Complex Are Frequently Affected by DNA Copy Number Loss in Pheochromocytoma

Gene dosage of VHL elongin BC complex components affects expression in PCC. RBX1 expression is positively correlated with copy number loss (Mann-Whitney value < 0.0001) and no copy number gain was seen for RBX1 in PCC samples. Copy number was significantly positively correlated with expression for CUL5, VHL, and TCEB1 complex components (Kruskal-Wallis value < 0.0001).
