Baicalein enhanced glucose-stimulated insulin secretion from -cells and human pancreatic islets. INS382/13 cells (a) or islets (b) were incubated in KRB buffer with various concentrations of baicalein (B) in the presence of 3 mM or 20 mM glucose at 37°C for 30 min. Insulin secreted into supernatants was measured by ELISA.
