Vanadyl Sulfate Effects on Systemic Profiles of Metabolic Syndrome in Old Rats with Fructose-Induced Obesity

<div>Effect of VS on oral glucose tolerance test in old obese male Wistar rats. Obesity was induced in rats with high-fructose diet (HFD) during 28 weeks, using a set of normal diet (ND) rats as comparative groups; stability in weight was observed during the next 4 weeks. After that, insulin sensitizer treatment (metformin (MET) or VS) was applied from week 32 to week 40, using saline solution (SS) as a control. <svg height="10.7395pt" id="M59"
