MetS: metabolic syndrome; WC: waist circumference; TG: triglyceride; HDL-C: high-density lipoprotein cholesterol; BP: blood pressure; FPG: fasting plasma glucose; HOMA-IR indicates homeostasis model assessment for insulin resistance; hs-CRP: high-sensitivity C-reactive protein.
