Effects of leptin on the proliferation and migration properties of K1 and TPC-1 cells. (a) Cell viability was evaluated by MTT after 96 h of incubation with 200 or 500 ng/ml leptin. Results are of three independent experiments performed in eigthplicate. (b) After 96 h of treatment with 200 or 500 ng/ml leptin, cells were prepared for migration assays as indicated in Materials and Methods. After 6 h, filters were stained and photographed at 10x magnification and cells counted. Differences were evaluated with Student’s -test. , , vs. untreated cells.
