Gemstone Spectral CT Virtual Noncontrast Images and Iodine Maps for the Characterization of Thyroid Lesions and Distinguishing Thyroid Papillary Carcinoma from Nodular Goiter

<div>Thyroid CT images from a patient with papillary thyroid carcinoma. Compared with true noncontrast (TNC) images (a), virtual noncontrast (VNC) images (b) had a clear boundary of thyroid lesions. In displaying calcification, necrosis, and lymph node metastasis, VNC images (b and e) were consistent with TNC images (a and d). There was no enhancement of necrosis in the contrast-enhanced images (c and f).</div>
