Size-class distribution of snags in northern Arizona mixed-conifer and ponderosa pine forest in 1997, 2002, and 2007. Absolute numbers of snags increased in all size classes in both forest types. In contrast, proportions of snags generally increased in the smaller size classes and decreased in the larger size classes in both forest types.
