The BmEm4 UTR contains a bmo-mir-7 target site at nt 535–560 and a bmo-mir-79 target site at nt 595–620. In addition, different classes of miRNA binding site (GY boxes, K boxes, and Brd boxes) are highly conserved in the UTR of the m4 ortholog from eight different species.
