Time course of GTP hydrolysis by BmRas1. GTPase activity of purified BmRas1 was assayed by the FeSO₄-(NH₄)₂MoO₄ method to detect the amount of inorganic phosphorus. Purified proteins were incubated in the reaction mixture at 37°C for 0, 30, 45, 60, 75, 90, 105, and 120 min. At 30 min, inorganic phosphorus was detected. The amount of inorganic phosphorus was increased significantly with the time, reaching the peak at 75 min and remaining at the similar high level.
