Each gene is represented by a single row of colored boxes; each individual from two groups is represented by a single column. Red color indicates upregulated while green indicates downregulated. Genes that were expressed at higher levels are assigned progressively brighter shades of red while genes expressed at lower levels are assigned progressively brighter shades of green.
