All proteins of K. apiculata, H. uvarum, and H. vineae were annotated according to GO categories using InterProScan (https://www.ebi.ac.uk/interpro/interproscan.html) under default parameters. These GO IDs were assigned to the genes in the seven areas in (a). Then, the gene family files with GO IDs were submitted to the WEGO website (http://wego.genomics.org.cn/cgi-bin/wego/index.pl) for further GO categorization. The circles I to VII correspond to the areas in (a).
