Metastatic lesions to the Liver

Description

Many cancers metastasize to the liver and may be amenable to interventional, medical, and surgical interventions. These include sarcoma, neuroendocrine masses, breast and stomach cancer, renal cancer, and colon and rectal cancer. Recent advances in biology and medicine have introduced new technologies that have revitalized the diagnosis and treatment of metastatic disease to the liver.

We invite investigators to contribute original research articles as well as review articles that will stimulate further growth and innovation which will hopefully lead to further understanding of the metastatic disease process and possible interventions for cure.

We welcome submissions from oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, and hepatologists. We are particularly interested in new modalities of treatment. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • New surgical indications for various metastatic lesions
  • New surgical techniques
  • Radiofrequency ablation, chemoembolization, and other interventional maneuvers used for treatment
  • Radiologic (and other tests) utilized for diagnosis
  • The potential role of PET scans
  • New chemotherapeutics
  • The role of transplantation

Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/ijhep/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/submit/journals/ijhep/lesion/ according to the following timetable:
