Measurement of natural killer cell activity in lean, overweight, and obese chimpanzees. PBMCs isolated from the blood samples of the chimpanzees were used for determining NK activity in triplicate wells using the standard 51Cr release assay. Results are expressed as % specific lysis. The values shown were obtained after subtracting the background lysis of control target cells (K652) from that of target cells. The data presented are averages from three different experiments.
